Skerries Sailing Club (SSC), located in the heart of one of Ireland's most picturesque coastal towns, is a dynamic and inclusive hub for sailing and boating enthusiasts. Our club offers an extensive range of dinghy and keelboat racing events for both adults and juniors, running weekly from May to October. We proudly represent a diverse array of boat types and classes, fostering a community that celebrates both competitive racing and leisurely cruising.

Our club is renowned for its warm, welcoming atmosphere, making it a cherished spot for sailors of all experience levels. SSC is perfectly situated on Skerries harbour, providing stunning sea views to the east and the unique westward perspective, ideal for enjoying a drink or meal while watching the sunset on a summer evening.

We strive to make sailing accessible to everyone through our 'Just Sailing' programme, which offers free use of club boats and tuition for new members. Additionally, our annual 'TY Programme' and support for the local Sea Scouts help extend the joy of sailing to a broader audience. Our commitment to inclusivity is highlighted by our award-winning 'All Inclusive' programme, developed in partnership with Skerries Autism Friendly Town, which earned us the prestigious Irish Sailing Inclusion Award.

Our facilities are top-notch, featuring six rescue boats (semi-rigid inflatables) on trailers that support various events, from racing and training to regattas at both national and international levels. We also have two tender boats to assist members with moored boats, and a half decker boat for race starts and finishes. Our fleet includes a range of starter dinghies, available for charter at minimal cost, allowing many of our members to begin their sailing journey with us.

Maintained by our dedicated members and volunteers, our assets reflect our commitment to safety and quality. We also utilise a 4x4 jeep to launch and recover rescue boats, ensuring their longevity and reliability for events.
